Google Phasing Out First-Gen Nest Aware in select regions this May

Google is discontinuing support for the first generation Nest Aware service in some regions, urging users to upgrade to newer plans before May 1, 2025.

Google Ending Support for 1st Gen Nest Aware in Some Regions

  • Automatic Cancellation: Subscribers’ 1st gen Nest Aware will be automatically cancelled on May 1, 2025, with a prorated refund for any remaining time.
  • Manual Cancellation: Users can cancel their subscription before May 1, 2025.
  • Download Content: Customers should download unsaved video clips in the Nest app as they will lose access to footage once the service is cancelled.
