Google Photos Resolves Magic Editor Glitch, Edits Save Seamlessly Again

Google Photos rolls out a critical fix, allowing users to save their Magic Editor creations seamlessly once again.

Google Photos Resolves Issue with Magic Editor Saving Edits

Over the past few weeks, some users of Google Photos encountered a problem where they were unable to save their edits made using the Magic Editor, an AI-powered drag-and-drop editing tool. Google has acknowledged this issue and rolled out a fix, ensuring that users can now save their edited images seamlessly.

In testing, it was confirmed that the Magic Editor on Android (specifically tested on Pixel devices) is consistently saving edited images. Last year, Google introduced a limit of 10 Magic Editor saves per month for all Google Photos users on both Android and iOS. This limit can be removed by subscribing to the $9.99 Google One Premium plan or by using Pixel devices, which have unlimited saves.

The article also briefly mentions other recent updates to Google Photos, including the integration of the Gemini app, the availability of dark theme support on the web, a year-long redesign effort, and the removal of the 'Memories' tab for a simpler bottom bar interface.
