Google Pixel's North American market share reportedly triples in one month - too good to be true?

Google's Pixel smartphones have reportedly seen a whopping 3x growth in North America in just one month, according to data from StatCounter. This growth seems almost too good to be true, especially considering Google's previous market share in the region was around 3% as of early this year.
The data shows that Google now makes up 12.9% of the market in North America, a massive jump from just 4.76% in September. This growth seems to come at the expense of other manufacturers like Apple and Motorola, with Samsung seeing only a slight gain.
StatCounter gathers its data using tracking code analytics from 1.5 million sites globally, but the company acknowledges that this is sampled data with some room for error. Google itself has reported "strong" demand for its latest Pixel devices, so even if the data isn't fully accurate, it does point to significant growth.
