Google Play Update Wastes Screen Real Estate on Tablets with New Search Tab
Google Play adds Search tab to Android tablets and foldables, but wastes screen real estate
Following its launch on phones in August, Google is rolling out a Search tab within the Google Play Store for Android tablets and foldables. The new design wastes screen real estate by removing the 'Search apps & games' search bar from the top-left corner, leaving a large empty gap. Additionally, users now need to go through a two-tap process to look up apps in Google Play.
