Google Refreshes Keep Widget Design for a Sleek and Functional Android Experience
Google revamps the Keep for Android 'Quick capture' widget with a fresh look and improved functionality, aligning with the latest Android design guidelines.

Redesigned Google Keep for Android Widget
Google has rolled out a new design for the 'Quick capture' widget in Google Keep for Android, following the latest Tier 1 guidelines from Android. The key changes include:
- Widget Background: Now extends to all four edges of the homescreen grid.
- Button Layout: All actions are now placed within buttons, with the text note shortcut redesigned as a vertical pill and other options (list, audio, drawing, camera) in rounded rectangles.
- Configurations: The 5x1 configuration includes all buttons, while the 4x1 may lack the camera shortcut. Material You’s flower shape has been enlarged.
- Other Widget Updates: The Note collection and Single note widgets remain unchanged as they already fill available space. Google Drive’s Android widgets have also received a similar update.
To get the new widget design, you may need to remove your existing widget and place it again on the homescreen or force stop Keep from App info.
