Google Simplifies Windows Sharing: 'Quick Share' Gets a Name Makeover

Google's 'Quick Share from Google' Windows app has been simplified and rebranded to just 'Quick Share,' reflecting a streamlined approach in the latest update.

In a minor update, the 'Quick Share from Google' Windows app has been renamed and rebranded to simply 'Quick Share,' effective with version 1.0.2113.1. The changelog only notes the name change and no additional features or fixes. Recent updates have included options for changing visibility settings via the tray icon and support for ARM and Snapdragon devices. On the Android side, Quick Share has rolled out QR code sharing, while on Windows, Google's Play Games app is set to exit beta this year, aiming to make all Android games available by default and adding support for native PC games and AMD hardware.
