Google TV now requires devices to have at least 2GB of RAM
Google is increasing the minimum RAM requirement for Google TV devices to 2GB, aiming to improve user experience and prevent lackluster performances.

Google is increasing the minimum RAM requirement for Google TV devices to 2GB. This change is likely to improve user experience and prevent lackluster performance, as some devices with minimal RAM have led to subpar experiences in the past. The Chromecast with Google TV (HD) currently has only 1.5GB of RAM, while other devices like the Chromecast (4K) and some Hisense TV sets already meet this requirement. The new Google TV Streamer actually surpasses it with 4GB of RAM.
