Google TV Streamer Setup Issue: How to Fix Remote Pairing Problem
Google TV Streamer users report an odd bug that causes the set-top box to pair with a random remote during setup. The issue is easily fixable by using CEC control and pairing the correct remote through the settings menu.

The Google TV Streamer is a set-top box with a strange bug that causes it to pair with a random remote during setup instead of the one it ships with. This can be fixed by using your TV's remote to control the Streamer's interface, going to Settings > Remotes & accessories, and pairing the correct remote by long-pressing the "Home" and "Back" buttons simultaneously until the white light flashes slowly, then selecting 'Pair accessory'.
