Google Unveils AI Mode in Search: A Sneak Peek at the Future of Web Queries

Google begins rolling out AI Mode in Search for premium subscribers, offering a chatbot-like interface with colorful animations and the ability to ask questions directly.

Google is starting to roll out early access to a new AI Mode feature in its Search product for Google One AI Premium subscribers, following an announcement from the previous day. The feature, accessible through a new button in the filter carousel or via google.com/aimode, transforms the search experience into a chatbot interface with colorful animations and cycling cursor colors. Users can input queries using text (and voice on mobile), receiving responses that include links to sources. Mobile users will see additional controls including an AI Mode history button. Google is still in the early stages of development for this feature and plans to make rapid changes based on user feedback.
