Google Wallet Now Allows Adding Passport IDs on Android
Google Wallet now allows users to add their passport as an ID on the Android app, enabling them to use it at TSA security for domestic travel within the US if their state doesn't offer a digital ID.
After testing in October, Google Wallet's ability to add your passport as an ID on Android is now widely rolling out in stable. Users can use it at TSA security for domestic travel within the US if their state doesn't offer a digital ID. The process involves taking a picture of the passport's info page or manually entering that information, scanning the security chip inside the back cover, and recording a brief video of the user's face.
