Google Wallet Now Supports California State IDs, Bringing Total to Five
Google Wallet now supports California state IDs, joining Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, and Maryland. The mobile driver's licenses and state IDs are part of a pilot program in California, capped at 1.5 million participants.

Google Wallet for Android now supports California state IDs, bringing the total number of supported states to five. The addition of California joins Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, and Maryland. When adding their ID to Google Wallet, users will see a Californian design featuring poppies and 'California mDL' followed by their first name.
