Google Wallet Restores Verification Settings for Transit Payments

In April, Google Wallet introduced Verification settings for Transit payments, but this security preference disappeared due to a bug. The feature allowed users to choose if they needed to verify their identity when using payment methods and passes in the wallet, specifically for transit payments like bus or metro fares using a credit or debit card.A server-side update has now restored this missing setting after it was reportedly absent from Google Wallet 24.44 and version 24.44 + 24.45 of Google Play services. Prior to the update, users were still required to verify their identity within a few minutes of unlocking the device for tap-to-pay transactions.
