Google's New 'Activity' Tab Brings Enhanced Search History and Saved Items to Android

The Google app for Android is introducing an 'Activity' tab, replacing the 'Saved' tab and relocating the Notifications icon to the top of the screen. The new Activity tab includes three main sections:
-
History: Displays the four most recent searches and visited sites in card format, showing day, date, time, domain, and a favicon. Users can save, share, or delete items from this section. Tapping on the item count reveals a full history list.
-
Saved items: Features a carousel of individually presented saved content such as Google Maps listings, movies, TV shows, images, and websites.
-
Collections: Allows users to browse all their saved collections.
The 'Activity' tab is designed to provide quick access to recent searches and saved content. It’s currently available in the beta version (16.10) of the Google app and is expected to roll out to stable versions soon, similar to its availability on the iOS app.
