Honor Elevates Flagship Devices with 7-Year Android Updates and the Future-Focused Alpha Plan

Honor has announced it will provide 7 years of Android OS updates and security patches for its flagship smartphones starting with the Magic 7 Pro, which launched in 2025. This commitment is part of Honor's 'Alpha Plan,' a new strategy aimed at transforming Honor into an AI device ecosystem company. The Alpha Plan includes developing intelligent phones with personal mobile AI agents that can assist users by using context from other apps, improving image quality through AI, detecting deepfakes, and enabling cross-platform file sharing between Android and iOS devices. Additionally, Honor has unveiled new products under the Alpha Plan: the Honor Pad V9 tablet, the Honor Watch 5 Ultra smartwatch with a 15-day battery life, and the Honor Earbuds Open with real-time AI translation capabilities.
