macOS Sequoia, iPadOS 18, and iOS 18 introduced a new feature called Distraction Control in the Safari browser. It allows users to manually select and hide items on webpages that may divert their attention, including ads, menus, or embedded videos. The tool works best with static elements, meaning it doesn't permanently hide dynamic content.

To use Distraction Control, open a webpage in Safari, click the Page Menu button, go to "Hide Distracting Items", and select the items to remove. To restore hidden items, follow similar steps but choose "Show Hidden Items." While effective for basic cleanup of webpages, it is not meant to replace full-fledged ad blockers.
