Huge efficiency upgrades expected for Pixel 10 with Tensor G5 chip

New details surrounding Google's future plans for the Tensor chips in Pixel 10 and Pixel 11 are hinting at a main focus on efficiency upgrades in 2025, with further upgrades to come on the Pixel 11 later on.

Google is focusing on efficiency upgrades for the Tensor G5 chip in Pixel 10 and Tensor G6 (Malibu) in Pixel 11, moving away from Samsung to TSMC's N3E process for improved battery life and heat management. The report claims that Google will use TSMC’s 3nm N3E process which is also used by Apple in iPhone 16 Pro. It also states that TSMC’s process has been proven to be more efficient than Samsung’s.
