Indicted NYC Mayor Eric Adams told FBI he forgot his new iPhone passcode
Indicted New York City Mayor Eric Adams told the FBI that he had changed his iPhone passcode to help investigators but then forgot what it was.

New details have emerged about how investigators seized devices owned by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who has been indicted for corruption. In November 2023, two of his cellphones were seized, but not his personal iPhone. When he produced it the following day, the device was locked with a new passcode, which he had changed to a six-digit one to prevent staff from deleting contents. He told investigators that he had forgotten this passcode.
