Inside the Next-Gen Budget powerhouse: Pixel 9a Teardown Reveals Advanced Cooling and Camera Tech

Get an exclusive look inside the latest budget-friendly Pixel with a surprise vapor chamber cooling system and innovative design features.

The Google Pixel 9a has been subjected to an early teardown ahead of its official launch, revealing key details about its internal design and components. The video teardown by PBKreviews highlights the ease of display and rear panel removal after applying heat. Notably, the device features a copper vapor chamber, typically reserved for higher-end models like the Pixel 9 Pro, enhancing thermal management. The motherboard houses the wide, ultrawide, and front-facing cameras, with only two microphones compared to three in the main line. The USB-C port and SIM reader are soldered directly to the board, which may impact repairability. Additionally, the teardown reveals that inserting the SIM ejector tool incorrectly won’t damage the device, as the microphones and filters are positioned above the holes.
