The first developer beta of iOS 18.2 has been released, bringing with it a host of new AI features for developers to test out. These include Apple's image generation tools like Genmoji and Image Playground, further integration of ChatGPT into Siri and Writing Tools, as well as expanding the availability of these Intelligence features to more English-speaking regions.

The initial release of iOS 18.1 is set for next week with US English support only, while iOS 18.2 will expand this to include Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

One of the key new additions in the update is Visual Intelligence, exclusive to iPhone 16 owners, which lets users access a new camera viewfinder by holding down the Camera Control on their lock screen. The features are also available across macOS 15.2 beta and iPadOS 18.2 beta.
