iOS 18.3 Release Notes Summary

  • Visual Intelligence with Camera Control: Available on all iPhone 16 models, this feature enhances the camera's ability to recognize and adjust settings based on the scene.
  • Add Events from Posters or Flyers: Users can now quickly add events to their Calendar by scanning posters or flyers.
  • Plant and Animal Identification: The camera can help identify plants and animals with visual intelligence.
  • Notification Summaries: Available on select iPhone models, this feature allows users to manage notification summaries directly from the Lock Screen. Summarized notifications are distinguished with italicized text and a unique glyph. Note that News & Entertainment app summaries are currently unavailable but will be re-enabled soon.
  • Calculator Enhancements: Tapping the equals sign in the Calculator app will repeat the last mathematical operation, improving efficiency.
  • Keyboard Bug Fix: Resolved an issue where the keyboard might disappear when starting a Siri request via typing.
