iOS 18.4 Public Beta 2 Brings Several New Features and Improvements

Apple has released the second public beta of iOS 18.4, which introduces a range of new features and enhancements for users in the public beta program. Here are the key updates:

  • Visual Intelligence Expansion: iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16e users can now use Visual Intelligence without needing Camera Control.
  • New Emoji: Seven new emoji have been added to the keyboard, including an exhausted face.
  • Apple Vision Pro App: A dedicated app for browsing spatial content is now available.
  • Shortcuts App Actions: New actions in the Shortcuts app hint at upcoming Siri upgrades.
  • Control Center Additions: Ambient Music controls from beta 1 are joined by Visual Intelligence and Talk to Siri controls.
  • Custom Priority Notifications: Users can choose which apps are included or excluded from AI Priority Notifications.
  • EV Routing Improvements: Apple Maps will offer better support for EV chargers.

Installation and Public Launch Date

To update, go to Settings > General > Software Update. For new users, enroll in the public beta program at Apple’s website. The final public release of iOS 18.4 is scheduled for early April.
