iOS 18.5 Beta Reveals New Stage Manager Features and Smart Styles for Videos
Discover new iOS 18.5 beta features, including Stage Manager tweaks for iPhone, Photographic Styles for video, and more in this episode of iOS Decoded.

Key Features Tested by Apple in iOS 18.5 Beta
- Stage Manager for iPhone: Evidence suggests Apple is testing Stage Manager on iPhones, allowing users to drag windows partially off-screen and resize them without auto-layout adjustments. This feature could potentially transform the iPhone into a more desktop-like experience.
- Photographic Styles for Video: Apple is exploring the extension of Photographic Styles to videos captured with the default Camera app. Additionally, plans are in place to make these styles available to third-party apps in the future.
- SuperDomino Feature Flag: A new SpringBoard flag named SuperDomino causes clock widgets in StandBy mode to render only half of the screen, potentially for a foldable iPhone or an enhanced iPad StandBy mode.
- Other Features and Changes: The beta also includes minor changes such as removing 'Apple Employees' details from Siri and Dictation policies, new private SF symbols, CVEs for MFI software, saved bank account numbers in Wallet & Apple Pay settings, and the ability to list paired Developer Macs.
