iOS 19: Expanding the Horizons of Current Apple Intelligence Capabilities

Apple's iOS 19 is set to expand current intelligence capabilities across more apps, rather than introducing groundbreaking AI features.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple's iOS 19 will focus on expanding existing intelligence capabilities rather than introducing new AI features. The company has postponed plans for a more conversational Siri to iOS 20 due to delays in delivering promised iOS 18 Siri enhancements. While no groundbreaking AI announcements are expected at WWDC, the update aims to integrate current AI functionalities across more apps and possibly open up APIs for developers. Despite the focus on catch-up, Apple is still planning to roll out the 'LLM Siri' backend with a future iOS 19.4 update, though the conversational assistant remains delayed.
