iOS 19 Sneak Peek: Fresh Icons, Floating Bars, and Redesigned Apps

Latest iOS 19 Leak Reveals Fresh Design Elements
Recent leaks from YouTuber Jon Prosser offer a glimpse into the upcoming iOS 19, showcasing new design elements that aim to refresh the user interface while maintaining familiarity. Key features include:
- New App Icons: Icons will have a more rounded shape but not as circular as in visionOS or watchOS.
- Redesigned Menus: Enhanced with more shadows and depth, giving the UI a more three-dimensional feel.
- Floating Bars: The tab bar in apps like Music and App Store will float on the screen, providing a more dynamic interface.
- Repositioned Search Fields: In apps like Messages, the search field will be moved to the bottom of the screen.
- Settings Redesign: The Settings app will feature shadows and wider spacing between items, making it visually distinct yet familiar.
While the changes are not as drastic as some had anticipated, they aim to modernize iOS while maintaining a consistent user experience. Prosser's claims are supported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who noted that iOS 19 will be part of a significant interface upgrade alongside macOS 16.
The WWDC 2025 artwork, which echoes elements from visionOS, further hints at the direction Apple is taking with its design. The official reveal is scheduled for June 9, during the WWDC 2025 opening keynote.
