iPad Pro Becomes Game-Changer for College Football Teams

The NCAA approved new technology rules for college football earlier this year, leading the ACC, SEC, and Big Ten to announce partnerships with Apple to integrate iPad into their workflows.
The iPad Pro with M4 and nano-texture display has become an integral part of college football teams, with coaches and players relying on it to analyze gameplay in real-time. Louisiana State University's director of video, Doug Aucoin, praised the new iPad Pro's nano-texture display technology, saying it was "unbelievable" and made it possible to view footage on the field despite glare from the sun.
University of Miami's offensive line coach, Alex Mirabal, shared an example of how he used the iPad Pro during a game against Cal last month. After giving up a sack on the sixth play, he was able to show the offensive line the issue and what they needed to do differently. Later in the game, when the same blitz look appeared, the team picked it up, showcasing the impact of the iPad's use on the sideline.
Isaiah Horton, a wide receiver for Miami, emphasized the importance of the iPad, saying "Where's the iPad? Where's the iPad?" as soon as they come off the field. The visual aspect provided by the iPad helps players and coaches better understand each other's perspectives and improve gameplay.
Apple works with software company DVSport and sports analytics company Catapult to provide college football teams with technology solutions.
