iPad's Dilemma: Apple Fails to Deliver New Apps for Tablet Users

iPad’s Perfect Strikeout: Apple Bats 0-3 with New Apps
Apple is launching innovative apps, but the company seems to be neglecting the iPad in favor of the iPhone. Here are three recent examples:
- Journal: Launched with iOS 17.2, this app is available only on the iPhone, despite being a system app that could have easily been ported to the iPad.
- Apple Sports: This new sports app, which has seen several updates and improvements, remains iPhone-only, leaving iPad users out in the cold.
- Invites: While it can send invitations to any device, there is no dedicated iPad version of this new event management app.
iPad users are disappointed because they had hoped that Apple would move away from launching iPhone-only system apps. Although the iPhone versions of Sports and Invites do work on the iPad, the lack of a native iPad version for Journal is particularly frustrating, as it means iPad users cannot even run the iPhone version in Stage Manager mode.
Despite these shortcomings, Apple continues to release compelling new apps, but the company needs to address the gaps in iPad support to fully satisfy its user base.
