iPhone 16e Replaces iPhone SE, iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus in Apple's Lineup

Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 16e, which is set to replace the iPhone SE and the iPhone 14 lineup. The new model, launching on February 29, 2025, comes with several notable upgrades:

  • A18 Processor: Offers enhanced performance over previous models.
  • 6.1-inch Display: Maintains the same size as the iPhone 14.
  • USB-C Charging: A modern charging port replacing Lightning.
  • Apple Intelligence: Includes AI-driven features for improved user experience.
  • 26 Hours of Video Playback: Extended battery life for longer usage.
  • Single 48MP Camera: Focuses on essential photography features without MagSafe or advanced camera controls.

The iPhone 16e is positioned as a budget-friendly option, though it starts at $599, which is higher than the previous entry-level models. It will be available in white and black with 128GB of storage.

With the introduction of the iPhone 16e, Apple has discontinued the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus. This move means that customers can no longer purchase any device featuring a Home Button, though Touch ID remains available on Macs and iPads.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 16e begin on February 21, 2025.
