iPhone 17 Pro Mockups Reveal Innovative Metal and Glass Design Split

iPhone 17 Pro Design Leaks New dummy models of the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, based on CAD drawings, reveal a unique design feature: a mixed metal and glass back. The top section will include a larger rectangular camera bump made of aluminum, while the bottom half will remain glass to support wireless charging. This new construction was initially reported late last year, with some uncertainty about whether titanium would be used. However, recent dummy models, shared by leaker Sonny Dickson, show markings that likely indicate the placement of glass sections beneath the camera bumps. The design change aims to enhance both aesthetics and functionality.
