iPhone 17 Pro Set to Revolutionize Photography with New Telephoto Lens

The iPhone 17 Pro is set to surprise with a new 48-megapixel telephoto lens, offering enhanced zoom capabilities and improved portrait photography.

iPhone 17 Pro May Feature a New Telephoto Camera

According to leaker Majin Bu, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to include a new telephoto lens with a 48-megapixel sensor. This will replace the current 12-megapixel telephoto lens on the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, which offers 5x optical zoom. The new camera will have a 3.5x optical zoom but is expected to offer greater than 5x digital zoom through a digital crop. This change aims to make it easier for users to take portrait photos without having to move away from the subject.

Additionally, all iPhone 17 models are expected to feature a new 24-megapixel selfie camera, while the Pro models will introduce 8K video recording for the first time. The iPhone 17 Pro is set to be announced in September.
