iPhone 17 Rumors: A19 Chip Details, Smaller Dynamic Island, and the Ultra-Thin iPhone 17 Air Design

Apple analyst Jeff Pu shares new details on the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup, including A19 chip specifications and a smaller Dynamic Island for the iPhone 17 Pro Max model.

Apple analyst Jeff Pu has shared new details about the expected iPhone 17 lineup, set to be released in September 2025. The report indicates that all models will feature an aluminum design, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max introducing a smaller Dynamic Island enabled by 'metalens' technology for the proximity sensor. Additionally, the A19 and A19 Pro chips are rumored to use TSMC's N3P process, improving performance and efficiency. Pu also commented on recent rumors surrounding the iPhone 17 Air, suggesting it will have an ultra-slim 6mm thickness but may not be a high-volume model due to technical compromises needed for the design.
