iPhone 17 Slim: Could Be a Third Thinner Than iPhone 16

iPhone 17 Slim Could Be 30% Thinner Than the iPhone 16
A new report suggests that the upcoming iPhone 17 Slim could be significantly thinner than its predecessor, the iPhone 16. According to a leak from a reliable source known as "Ice Universe," the iPhone 17 Slim is expected to have an overall thickness of just 5.5mm, including the camera bump. This would make it about 29.49% thinner than the iPhone 16 and 33.33% thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which are officially listed as 7.8mm and 8.25mm thick, respectively.
The leak also mentions that the camera bump on the iPhone 17 Slim will be 4.0mm, making it smaller than the current 4.3mm bump on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. While there are no details about the source of these dimensions, Ice Universe is known for providing reliable information.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max, on the other hand, is rumored to be thicker than its predecessors, possibly due to a larger battery. Despite the significant reduction in thickness, the iPhone 17 Slim will not be Apple’s thinnest device; that title belongs to the 2024 iPad Pro, which measures just 5.1mm.
