iPhone Fold Revealed: Punch-Hole Camera and Touch ID Power Button Take Center Stage

A new report suggests Apple's iPhone Fold will feature a punch-hole camera and Touch ID on the power button, eschewing Face ID and Dynamic Island for a sleeker design.

Summary of the New iPhone Fold Report

Recent reports suggest that Apple is gearing up for its first foldable iPhone, tentatively referred to as the iPhone Fold. The device is expected to take a 'Fold' approach rather than a 'Flip' design, unfolding from a normal-sized iPhone form factor to something akin to an iPad mini.

A key feature of this new device will be the absence of Dynamic Island on the outer display. Instead, Apple is likely to opt for a single punch-hole camera and incorporate Touch ID into the power button, similar to what is seen in the iPad Air. This design choice is influenced by space constraints that make embedding Face ID beneath the display challenging.

The internal display is reported to be 7.76 inches with a resolution of 2713 x 1920, while the external display will measure 5.49 inches with a resolution of 2088 x 1422p. These specifications are consistent with other Android foldable devices currently on the market.

Additionally, the report highlights some potential accessories for the iPhone Fold, including an Anker 511 Nano Pro ultra-compact charger, MagSafe Car Mounts, and various charging solutions.
