iPhone SE 4 Case Leak Reveals Key Features and Design Elements

The new iPhone SE 4 case leak highlights some key features to expect with this upcoming device, such as a single rear camera, physical mute switch, and no camera control button. Although the images don't showcase any groundbreaking new details, they do give us a better idea of what to anticipate.

Apple leaker Sonny Dickson has posted an apparent image of a case designed for the upcoming iPhone SE 4, which is expected to launch next spring. Although the images don’t showcase any groundbreaking new details, they do highlight some things that we should expect with the iPhone SE.

  • Single rear camera: The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be based on the iPhone 14 design, but it does not have the same dual camera setup as the iPhone 14. This means there’ll be no ultra-wide camera, although the iPhone SE is still expected to have a 48MP main sensor, the same one as the iPhone 15.

  • Physical mute switch: Although earlier iPhone SE rumors suggested that the device would have an Action Button, more recent leaks (as well as this case leak) don’t seem to suggest so. There’s still a cutout for the mute switch in the upper left, rather than another button, like cases for the iPhone 15 Pro and later.

  • No camera control button: These cases suggest that Apple’s cheapest iPhone would not have the new Camera Control slider/button introduced on the iPhone 16 lineup.
