Microsoft has released two new subscription-free versions of Office for Mac, priced at $149.99 and $249.99 respectively. These standalone options offer better value compared to the Microsoft 365 subscription, as they can be purchased once and used indefinitely, with no requirement to upgrade unless desired features are introduced in newer versions. The latest release offers performance improvements and new functions in Excel, as well as additional capabilities in PowerPoint.
