LG is now rolling out an update to its 2023 TVs which delivers Google Cast support. The company had previously added AirPlay support nearly five years prior, but webOS platform didn't support Google Cast for years.
The expansion started on newer 2024 TVs and brought support for the standard widely used across both Android and iOS to customers. The update is rolling out on 2023 versions of the OLED-equipped LG C3 and LG G3 with firmware version 23.20.50. For some models, users can manually install it using a USB stick.
