Low-Cost Mac mini: A Rarity Amidst Apple's Pricey Accessories

The new M4 Mac mini offers exceptional value at $599, making it $500 cheaper than the next least expensive Mac. However, to use it, you need accessories such as display, keyboard, and mouse or trackpad, which can add up extra costs.
Apple is known for its costly extras. For instance, the Mac Pro wheels cost $699 to purchase separately while an upgraded M4 Mac mini with 10 Gigabit Ethernet will be around the same price.
Third-party accessories sold by Apple are also not cheap; a Duet 3 preamp that costs $650 could buy you a base M4 Mac mini plus a 128GB SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe at $45.
Apple’s pricing strategy appears to be calculated in such a way as to find the precise price point at which no-one will buy and then taking a dollar off it.
