M3 Ultra Powers Ahead: New Mac Studio Benchmarks Reveal Significant Speed Gains

The new Mac Studio with M3 Ultra processor has demonstrated significant performance improvements over its predecessor, the M2 Ultra, according to initial benchmarks. Geekbench scores show a 16% increase in single-core performance and a 30% boost in multi-core performance. The Metal GPU benchmark also indicates a 17% improvement. In comparison to the M4 Max processor, the M3 Ultra outperforms it by about 7.8% in multi-core tests but lags behind by 22% in single-core tests. When compared to the M3 Max, the M3 Ultra is around 66% faster in GPU performance and 33.5% better in multi-core scores. These early figures suggest that the M3 Ultra offers substantial gains for demanding tasks.
