macOS Sequoia 15.5 Beta 1 Arrives with Promising New Features and Enhancements
macOS Sequoia 15.5 beta 1 is here, and it might bring Priority Notifications and a new Food section to Apple News.

macOS Sequoia 15.5 Beta 1 Now Available
Apple has released the first beta of macOS Sequoia 15.5 to developers, shortly after the public launch of macOS 15.4. The previous update, 15.4, brought a redesigned Mail app, new AI features, and Quick Start support. While the specifics of the 15.5 beta are not yet clear, some anticipated features include:
- Priority Notifications: This feature, already available on iOS 18.4, could be making its way to macOS with a custom implementation due to the lack of Lock Screen notifications.
- Food Section for Apple News: This section, featuring recipes and cooking mode, was introduced in iOS and iPadOS 18.4 but was not included in macOS 15.4, suggesting it might be part of this update.
To install the beta, developers need to enable beta updates in System Settings. Users are encouraged to report any new features or changes they notice.
