Apple's Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 may be set to receive a USB-C upgrade in the future, according to references found in the iOS 18.1 RC. This would bring these accessories in line with many other Apple products that have moved to USB-C rather than Lightning or USB-A ports. Despite some rumors suggesting this change could come as early as the release of the 24-inch iMac in 2021, no concrete announcements have been made by Apple.
