Major Google Maps Upgrades Coming to Ford EVs with Android Auto

Google and Ford have collaborated on big updates for Android Auto on the automaker's electric vehicles, including routing and finding charging stations. The updates, which are now rolling out, include showing estimated battery level within Google Maps on Android Auto for when you arrive at a destination.

Google and Ford have collaborated on updates for Android Auto on the automaker's electric vehicles, specifically the Mustang Mach-E and Ford F-150 Lightning. The updates include showing the estimated battery level when arriving at a destination within Google Maps on Android Auto, displaying charging stations with NACS chargers (mainly Tesla Supercharger stations) for Ford EVs equipped with the port, preconditioning the vehicle's battery while en route to the station, listing nearby amenities at charging stops, and showing a 'minimum recommended charge' for destinations. These upgrades are currently rolling out.
