Meta Launches New Feature to Sync X Friends with Threads: A Step Towards a More Connected Social Graph

Meta introduces a new beta feature allowing users to easily transfer their X follows to Threads, streamlining the social network transition.

Meta has introduced a new feature that simplifies the transition from X (Twitter) to Threads by allowing users to follow the same popular creators they are following on X. This beta update enables users to export their following list from X and import it into Threads through a series of steps, including downloading an archive of their X data, extracting the following.js file, and uploading it to Threads.net. While the process isn't seamless due to X's API limitations, this feature aims to ease the burden of rebuilding one's social graph on new platforms. The feature is progressively rolling out, so users can check if it's available on their Threads web account.
