Meta Removes Support for Apple's Writing Tools in iOS Apps

Meta Blocks Use of Apple Intelligence Writing Tools in iOS Apps
Meta has removed support for using Apple Intelligence Writing Tools across all its iOS apps, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads. The change was not widely noticed until recently and may have been initiated by Meta around December 2024. While the exact reasons behind this decision remain unclear, it is known that the tools are still accessible via web browsers on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Apple's developer documentation indicates that app developers must explicitly enable the feature for iOS and iPadOS apps, suggesting that Meta chose to disable it.
The removal of support also coincides with discussions between Apple and Meta about integrating AI services into iOS 18, similar to how ChatGPT has been integrated. However, Meta's own AI services do not currently offer a comparable feature to Apple Intelligence Writing Tools.
