Microsoft learns lesson on overcharging for AI features; Apple takes note
Microsoft just learned its lesson about overcharging for AI features

Microsoft has integrated its AI-powered Copilot Pro features into Microsoft 365 subscriptions, marking a shift in the company's strategy for offering AI tools. This change follows feedback from users who were apparently not willing to pay $20 per month for a standalone subscription. With this move, Copilot Pro will be accessible through apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The integration is an indication that Microsoft may have realised that consumers are not ready to spend exorbitant amounts for AI-powered features.
