New Firmware Update Enhances Security and Usability for Fitbit Devices

Google is rolling out a firmware update for the Fitbit Charge 6, Inspire 3, Sense 2, and Versa 4 smartwatches and trackers. This update introduces several new features, including status indicators at the top of the clock face to show when do not disturb or sleep modes are active, as well as a red battery icon for critically low battery levels and a phone with a slash icon when the device isn't connected to your phone. The update also adds new Bluetooth security features, requiring users to forget their Fitbit device in their phone's settings and then reconnect it to benefit from these enhancements. The firmware version numbers for the updated devices are 214.22, up from 210.26.
