New Mac mini Redesign: Power Button Placement

Apple's 2024 Mac mini redesign includes a power button hidden underneath the device based on user habits and to accommodate its smaller size, about half of its predecessor. The change has raised concerns from users who find it inconvenient especially in tight spaces or when physical access becomes necessary.

Apple executives, however, maintain that because most people rarely turn off their Macs completely—relying instead on sleep mode—the button's new location will have little impact on daily use.
