New Mac mini with M4 Pro Becomes Apple's Fastest Desktop Mac, Benchmark Scores Reveal

The new Mac mini with M4 Pro is set to become Apple's fastest desktop Mac, outperforming the M2 Ultra in terms of raw CPU performance. Geekbench scores reveal that the M4 Pro model boasts single-core scores around 3,700 and multi-core scores approximately 22,000. This represents a significant improvement over last year's M3 Pro, which had an underpowered design favoring efficiency cores. The M4 Pro has 10 performance cores and only 4 efficiency cores, resulting in speed increases of about 20% for single-core tasks and 45% for multi-core operations compared to the M3 Pro. Although later next year, Apple is expected to introduce the M4 Ultra chip for the 2025 Mac Studio and Pro models, currently the new Mac mini holds its position as the fastest desktop Mac available.
