OpenAI Expands ChatGPT macOS App with Support for Apple Notes, Notion and Other Third-Party Apps
OpenAI has announced an update to the macOS ChatGPT app, expanding its support for third-party apps including Apple Notes, Notion, and Quip. The update also adds compatibility with multiple IDEs like BBEdit, MatLab, Nova, Script Editor, TextMate, VS Code forks such as VSCode Insiders, VSCodium, Cursor, WindSurf, Jetbrains IDEs including Android Studio, AppCode, CLion, DataGrip, GoLand, IntelliJ IDEA, PHPStorm, PyCharm, RubyMine, RustRover, WebStorm, terminal apps like Prompt and Warp. The feature allows users to ask ChatGPT to read content from these supported applications and provide suggestions without manually copying and pasting the content. For privacy reasons, users control when and which apps ChatGPT can access.
