Perplexity AI launches native Mac app in October, available for pre-order now

Perplexity AI has announced it will be launching a native Mac app in October, following the release of the ChatGPT app for macOS earlier this year. Unlike ChatGPT for macOS, Perplexity will be available for download on the Mac App Store. Perplexity is a generative AI-based conversational and search tool that uses its own large language models (LLMs). The native Mac app will include features such as Pro Search with voice or text input, Thread Follow-Up to keep conversations going, source tracking, history search, and more.
