Photoshop Launches on iPhone
Adobe is making a significant move by launching the full-featured Photoshop app on iPhones, providing a mobile-friendly version of its powerful photo editing suite. The new app offers an array of free features for both experienced and novice users, including:
- Core Photoshop Tools: Selections, layers, masks, and blending capabilities.
- Intuitive Editing Tools: Tap Select for easy part removal, recoloring, or replacement.
- Advanced Removal Tools: Spot Healing Brush to eliminate distractions quickly.
- Generative AI Features: Powered by Adobe Firefly, users can use Generative Fill and Expand to add new elements and edit photos effortlessly.
- Seamless Integration: Direct access to other Adobe creative apps like Express, Fresco, and Lightroom.
- Adobe Stock Assets: Access to a vast library of free assets for design and creativity.
For Adobe subscribers, additional premium features are available, such as advanced removal tools, the Clone Stamp, Content-Aware Fill, Magic Wand, Object Select, Lighten and Darken, and over 20,000 fonts. Non-subscribers can access these advanced features with a new Photoshop Mobile and Web plan for $7.99/month or $69.99/year.
The app has been in development for over five years since the iPad launch and is currently exclusive to iPhones. An Android version is expected later this year.
