Pictochat Revival: Relive the Early 2000s with This Nostalgic iMessage App
A new iMessage app inspired by the Nintendo DS Pictochat feature has emerged. The application recreates the nostalgic experience of using the original Pictochat on the Nintendo DS, allowing users to send stylus-drawn messages and use square emojis. Though the app works well for nostalgia, it is not practical for serious messaging due to its small keyboard and difficult usability, especially on smaller iPhone screens. Users can share Pictochat messages as images with friends who don't have the app installed. The app functions best with an Apple Pencil on an iPad. Despite its charm, there's a possibility that Nintendo might take action against it for trademark infringement.
